Bharat Box Factory Limited (BBFL) was established as a private limited company in 1996. BBFL is primarily engaged in the manufacture of paper and plastic-based packaging material. Further, the company manufactures FMCG products like mosquito coils and toilet cleaners on a contractual basis and also under its own brand. The company has one manufacturing unit located in Ludhiana and three manufacturing units in located in Jammu. The company’s client base includes reputed companies such as Amul India Limited, Heinz India Pvt. Limited, Jyothi Laboratories Limited, Oriflame India Pvt. Limited, Perfetti India Limited, and Reckitt Benckiser India Limited. Avigo Venture Investments Limited (AVIL) made an investment of Rs. 300 million in BBFL in February 2008. However, the promoters of BBFL will be obligated to purchase the shares of AVIL at the minimum guaranteed return of 22% p.a. if exit option is provided to AVIL before 2011. In FY2009, BBFL posted a (provisional) Profit after Tax of Rs. 219.5 million over a net turnover of Rs. 3.17 billion
