Balaji Paper And Newsprint Pvt Ltd started in 1998 was promoted by Kolkata-based Mr Ram Avtar Agarwal, BPN initially traded paper. In 2004, the company purchased the assets of Neptune Paper Mills Ltd, a company referred to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction. The acquired factory was refurbished and BPN commenced manufacturing of writing and printing paper. In the year 2005 with an installed capacity of 10 tonne per day (tpd) capacity has expanded gradually and is currently, it has 130 tpd capacity.
