SPML was incorporated as a private limited company on August 13, 1991 and later reconstituted as a closely held public limited company on July 11, 1996. It is engaged in the manufacturing of kraft paper (deluxe grade) from waste paper. The company has an established industrial unit for manufacturing of kraft paper at Vapi G.I.D.C with an installed capacity of 70 metric tonnes per day (MTPD). The kraft paper finds its application in the packaging industry especially for making container board and corrugating medium for boxes, paper bags, paper moving pads, gumming kraft for paper tape, paper trash bags etc. for industrial packaging.
