About the Company :
SBPL was incorporated in 1996 in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, with the objective of manufacturing Kraft paper from agricultural waste . The Company is part of the family owned Siddharth group having four anufacturing entities engaged in manufacturing of different grades of paper. SBPL commenced commercial production of low grammage Kraft paper in 1997 and subsequently started manufacturing of other products such as One – Time Carbon (OTC) paper, Tissue paper and M S. Ingots.
SBPL exports white paper such as tissue papers and OTC paper to countries such as Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh etc.
The Company has a captive power plant with a generation capacity of 6MW. Entire power generation is utilized for captive consumption. Power generation utilizes agricultural waste such as rice husk, which is readily available due to the presence of a large number of rice mills in the region.
As of 31 March, 2014, the installed capacities of Kraft Paper, White Paper and MS Ingots were 17800 MT, 19800 MT and 13500 MT respectively. The Company started production of MS Ingots in 2006 as part of its product diversification. The utilization levels were about 55% for these units.
