Plywood are generally classified in general into two grades boiling water resistant and moisture resistant grade. The grade depends upon the bond strength, developed by the adhesive used for bonding the veneers. It is also soaked in boric acid solution for 10-40 minutes depending on the size. Its standard under BIS is Is 303 :1989
